About our Castro Valley flooring company

This page covers who we are, how I got into this work and what to expect when you call.

How I got into floor coating work

Before I started this business in 2017, I ground and coated my own garage floor. I read every product sheet I could get my hands on, because I wanted to know why one coating holds and another peels. After that I took on small jobs and learned the rest on real floors, one slab at a time.

Today Castro Valley Epoxy Floors and Concrete is a flooring contractor in Castro Valley, and we're best known for careful prep under epoxy and polyaspartic coatings. Homeowners call us about garages and basements. Shop and business owners call us about floors that have to work hard, and the same rule holds for both, because a coating only holds as well as the concrete under it.

Two things matter most to me. I'll tell you the plain truth about your floor, even when it isn't what you hoped to hear. I also treat your home or business as someone else's property, because it is. We're licensed and insured, we protect what's around the work, and we clean up before we leave.

What you get when we take your job

Here's what working with us looks like on your floor and why we do it this way. Each of these comes down to the slab and to keeping our word.

The slab comes first

We check the slab and fix what's under it before any coating goes down, so the floor you paid for stays bonded. If your floor isn't ready yet, or a different system would suit it better, I'll tell you plainly and explain why.

One person, start to finish

I do the on-site estimates myself, and I stay on the job with our crew from the first pass of prep to the final walk-through. What we agree on at the estimate is what gets done, because nothing gets passed to someone who wasn't there to hear it.

Prep in writing

Your written estimate spells out the prep as well as the coating, so you can compare it fairly with other quotes. When one price is much lower, ask whether it includes grinding and crack repair, because that's usually where the gap is.

What happens after you call us

Here's how a job usually runs with us, from your first call to the final walk-through, so you know what to plan for and when you'll hear from us.

  1. 1

Call or send us a note

Call (510) 931-7868 or use our contact form to tell us about your floor and your address. We reply to every call and form within one business day.

  2. 2

    Meet me for the estimate

I come out myself, look at the slab in person and ask what the floor has to handle. The written estimate is free, with no obligation, and the price usually turns on the floor's size, the repair it needs and the coating you choose.

  3. 3

    Clear the space for prep

Please move what you can off the floor so we can grind and repair the slab before the coating goes on. If a permit is needed, I'll say so at the estimate and file it with Alameda County for Castro Valley addresses, or walk you through it.

  4. 4

    Walk the finished floor together

When the work is done, we clean up and walk the floor with you, and I'll go over when you can use it and how to care for it. Satisfaction guaranteed on every job.
